Raccords ! was a collective performance thought by Julien Haguenauer ︎and made with nine artists of Le Houloc for Soleil Nord Est festival, taking place at Le Houloc ︎

The sculpture and performance “se peupler de vos danses” (be peopled with your dances) aimed to “repeople” the room of peole’s typical party gestures, in the pandemic situation where there was no more space dedicated for body movements. After having asked Houloc’s artists to remember the kind of gesture they used to dance, each one made, for themselves but in front of me, a little dance, to remember its cliché movement in a way to mold and freeze it into plaster. These second hands then constituted the base of the performance where I came to activate these gestures adopting the other’s movements on Julien’s production, and then, the result sculpture.

Each artist was invited by Julien Haguenauer to revive an idea, stupid or not, joke or serious, but always short and having never found a place, a time or an occasion to take place. At the same time, he offered to each of our proposition a sample in relation with, that he’ve neither had the occasion to explore, to create a kind of B2B visual and musical.
